    Description

Navajo 2nd phase Hand stamped from early US Coins ( &.50 cent) concho belt. The silver dollar coin conchos have approx. 189 reeds per coin which indicate US Silver coinage. The experts say that in the 1890s the US government placed restrictions which prohibited Us silver coinage to be use in this fashion by law.
It has the sunburst design pattern hand stamped on the 2 in. silver dollar 27-g conchos frequently utilized in the 1890s. The silver half dollar oval stamped conchos are 2 1/4 in. x 1 1/4 in. each approx.13-g. Each concho have the reeded edge and have a nice coin silver patina present.
These conchos are hand hammered and hand stamped each just a little different.
The heavy beautiful thick coin silver or sterling  buckle is  aprox. 4 in. x 2 1/2 in. and 86-g. The total weight of this belt is 353-g.
The leather belt is home made not original with leather backings for buckle and concho. It is approx. 1/2 in. wide and has holes punched for a 38 waist. Morgan dollar and Kennedy half for size comparison only.
