WHOLESALE TEN LIBERIA 5 DOLLAR NOTES UNC of 1991 with KISSI LOGO & OVD PICK # 20
This note features a green square on the left portion of this 1991 bank bill which was an early use of an OVD (Optical Variable Device) used to thwart potential fakes.
We also offer wholesale on ebay the 50 Cents & 1 Dollar coins in brand-new Uncirculated condition (10 of each) as shown on the Bank of Liberia logo (with the same African Woman's head). And the
twisted iron wires, called Kissi, which was in some use as money from the 1800's to just after the World War I. The iron was smelted & worked in several Mandingo villages and used primarily by 4 tribes, including the Kissi, Bande, Kpelle & the Loma, who inhabit was is today, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea. They were referred to as 'coins with soul', and if a Kissi was broken, it could not circulate until repaired by a witch doctor. The Kissi & Coins are offered in separate lots by us on ebay, but not here. And the notes you will receive are of different serial numbers than those featured here,
